We are leading experts on southern Vancouver Island in native plant and seed production and offer about 200 different plant species. The plants and seeds provided by Satinflower Nurseries are native to a variety of habitats on Southern Vancouver Island, including meadows, woodlands, forests, wetlands, beaches and more.We are Victoria BC's only plant nursery retailer who offers exclusively native plants and make native plants and seeds available to everyone from homeowners to restoration practitioners and Indigenous communities. Our nursery strives for excellence in the health of the environment in our growing practices. Herbicides, pesticides (including neonicotinoids), and chemical fertilizers are not used in our plant or seed production.
Our consulting team manages hundreds of landowner and land manager consultations annually, working with all levels of government, First Nations, non-profits, and private property. We help people meet their restoration objectives, guide people through the process of restoration, and supply native plants and seeds for their projects.
At the core of our business is a mandate to help educate the public about native plants, nature, and restoration. We offer hundreds of educational events annually, ranging from webinars and talks, to long-term courses. We also develop educational resources related to all topics of native plants.
