At ReForest London, we’re planting the future today.

ReForest London is a charitable non-profit organization determined to make our community better through the many environmental and human health benefits of trees.

We work to get more trees planted in all corners of our city – in parks, residential yards, schools, and businesses – and also to engage with our community to care for our urban forest.

While we are a small team, we are energetic, passionate, and we punch above our weight. Our workplace and workstyle is flexible. Staff members are accountable for outcomes but enjoy a lot of freedom in how to achieve them.

Company History

ReForest London is a London-based charity whose mission is to partner with our community to enhance environmental and human health in the Forest City, through the benefits of trees. Our work is centred around our three goals of community empowerment, ecosystem health, and education.

We are community-driven, and have completed over 400 different planting projects with the help of tens of thousands of volunteers to date. We operate almost exclusively within London, and work to achieve our mission through a variety of programs, including park naturalizations, schoolyard greenings, residential planting programs, seedling growing and giveaways, community outreach, and education.

Since our founding by a small group of citizens in 2005, we have grown to become London’s largest environmental not-for-profit organization. We are big on partnerships and are increasingly looking to help facilitate large-scale, citywide solutions to environmental issues.

Company Facts

In 2011, ReForest London, in partnership with the City of London, co-founded London’s Million Tree Challenge: an initiative to plant a million new trees in the Forest City. Any tree, planted by anyone, anywhere within the city can count towards the MTC, and residents, community organizations, conservation authorities, and businesses are all encouraged to register their trees through the Million Tree Challenge website at milliontrees.ca.

In 2015, we worked with Thames Talbot Land Trust to create the London Environmental Network.

In October of 2019, we launched the Westminster Ponds Centre for Environment & Sustainability. The Centre will be a hub for promoting environmental excellence, sustainability, health, and well-being across our region by co-creating resources, services, and impactful programming.
