The forest, conservation, and parks sectors are exciting and growing fields. Plus, as one third of the forest workforce set to retire by 2030, many new opportunities will soon be opening up. Join us for our “Green Jobs are for Everyone” Workshop Series and Career Connections Fair as we brainstorm how to build a diverse and resilient Green Jobs workforce for the future.
The four half-day sessions and career fair (hosted between March 2–16) will be useful to all, including to those who may be facing additional barriers to employment. All the sessions will be supported by a live French interpreter.
Each session will include an introduction to Project Learning Tree Canada, professional development and training for youth and employers, speakers, and conversations that explore opportunities for mutual growth and support. For the final Career Connections and Networking Fair, participating employers and youth will have an opportunity to network and get to know one another.
Whether you are an urban youth, an Indigenous youth, a newcomer, or a youth living with a disability, our “Green Jobs are for Everyone” Workshop Series and Career Connections Fair is a time to connect, grow and diversify your network, learn new skills, and help guide the creation of future PLT Canada programs. Join us in March, and register now!

Registrants will receive their Zoom log-in credentials in advance of the workshop, so be on the lookout for an email from PLTCanada@forests.org. In the meantime, check out our Zoom 101 to get acquainted with the Zoom Meetings platform a bit more.
Our Career Connections and Networking Fair will be powered by Remo, for networking and 1:1 discussions. Check out this short video to see how Remo works. Remo works best from a desktop or laptop with webcam enabled, over Chrome, Firefox or Safari browsers. More specific details on how to access the platform and network with employers and youth across Canada will be provided to registrants in advance of the March 16th Career Fair.
