Trail Developers will focus on creating, improving and mapping existing trails on the Temagami First Nation traditional territory n'Daki Menan.
The Trail Developers will work under the direction and supervision of the Temagami First Nation Lands and Resources, Climate Change Team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the outdoors, self motivated, work effectively in a team environment, willing to performing manual labour in a variety of outdoor conditions and be conscientious of safety at all times.
Trail Developers will also participate in stewardship activities including (but not limited to) invasive species identification and management, environmental cleanups and community stewardship events.
This is an excellent opportunity to get outdoors, become familiarized with the land and learn about local flora and fauna. The best way to become acquainted with the land is to put your boots on the ground. The trails through n'Daki Menan are vast and include opportunity for portage and canoe trips while working on trail maintenance. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy the outdoors.
