Job Description

Forestry Intern

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Forestry Intern to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of forest management and operations. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in a career in forestry to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to real-world projects.

Responsibilities May Include:

Assisting with timber cruising and forest inventory
Participating in silvicultural treatments (e.g., planting, thinning)
Supporting wildfire prevention and suppression efforts
Collecting and analyzing field data
Assisting with trail maintenance and infrastructure projects
Learning about forest health and pest management
Following safety protocols and environmental regulations

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, or young professionals.
Strong interest in outdoor work and the forestry industry.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and observational skills.
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and uneven terrain.
Valid driver's license (preferred, but not always required).
First Aid certification (a plus).
