Job Description

This is a fantastic
entry-level opportunity for a Silviculture specialist to gain hands-on experience across most ecosystems within the
province.
Required Skills and Experience
• 1+ year(s) of experience with a completed forestry-related degree
or diploma program; SAS – Silviculture Accredited Surveyor
designation is a definite asset
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent;
• Proficient in using a compass and GPS applications (e.g., Avenza);
• Ability to safely navigate and work in remote Coastal BC terrain
under various weather conditions;
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently;
• Strong organizational and data management skills;
• Shift and camp work is required

Job Conditions

• Travelling may be required.
• Work on weekends may be required.
• Working in outdoors in various weather conditions may be required.
• Willing to work in remote locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience : 0-1 years
• Minimum educational level : Certificate/Diploma from a College or CEGEP
• Certifications:
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Standard First Aid and CPR
• Language : English
