The Friends of Fish Creek have been the primary programmer of education and stewardship activities in Fish Creek Provincial Park since 1992. We work closely with partners, supporters and volunteers to engage with the public and execute meaningful stewardship work in the park, tackling various issues such as invasive plant species, beaver coexistence, poplar forest stewardship and more. We are also known for our ever popular Birding program, that engages hundreds of participants each year in this passionate pursuit in Fish Creek and other city parks and green spaces, in addition to our Learning Naturally Program, that provides youth from unde-rserved areas the opportunity to enjoy a day of environmental education in our treasured park. Each year we engage over 250 volunteers, and benefit from over 800 members who believe in and support what we do.
