Rough Timber Forestry Consulting LTD.
We are a small family run business, consisting of One permanent full time employee in addition to the owners Chris, RPF and Sacha. We also hire one summer forestry student each summer. Block layout is our main area of focus. Our main customer is Weyerhaeuser who provides us with the Blocks that they require to be laid out, we then edit the blocks using ArcMap GIS and submit it as a package to Weyerhaeuser. It is our role to maintain the rules when applying boundaries and making sure that the appropriate buffers are in place for creeks, ponds, bear dens, and other wildlife.
Company History
Rough Timber Forestry is a new company, we started in February of 2018. However, we are not new to this line of work, we branched off our previous employer CNB forestry who is owned by Chris’ dad who has semi-retired and does some consulting work for our company now.
Company Facts
Chris is an RPF who has a Bachelor degree in Forest Management and has been doing block layout for more than 10 years. We our very small, a total of 3 employees (including the owners).
