Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) conserves, restores and manages wetlands and associated habitats for the management of North Americas waterfowl. Unique amont conservation companies, DUC has teams of restoration specalists, a science team, an education team and a policy team to influcence policy at both the provincial and federal level.

Company History

Established in 1938, Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) is the largest Canadian charitable non-profit organization focusing on wetland protection. DUCworks in every province and territory, with a professional staff of 400. To date, DUC has completed 11,892 conservation projectsandsecured 2.6 million hectares of natural and restored habitat. Wetland provide essential habitat for waterfowl and other wildlife.DUC recognizes that wetlands are also extremely beneficial to humans, providing ecological goods and services that reduceflooding, store carbon to minimize the effects of climate change and hold nutrients up of the landscape thereby keeping them out ofour lakesto increase water quality. However, wetland are being lost and degraded across Canada. We are leading the efforts toprotect remaining wetlands, and restore those that have been lost.
