SpruceLab is a small planning and landscape architecture consultancy that co-creates innovative nature-based solutions for vibrant communities and climate change action. We curate specialized teams of knowledgeable, talented individuals to help connect people to place, and to each other. We aim to spark new ideas, demonstrate design excellence, and work with clients and communities to create realistic plans and strategies for long term resilience. By engaging young professionals and Indigenous communities in this work, we strive to decolonize professional practice through experience with shared meaningful action. SpruceLab strives to create effective collaborations for place-based work, grounded in caring, reflection, and investing in genuine long-term relationships, to achieve optimum outcomes for our clients, partners, and communities. SpruceLab prioritizes Indigenous Peoples in our work, and this includes collaborating with Indigenous partners and communities. Our team has had Indigenous cultural awareness training (including Fundamentals of OCAP®) to help relationship-building, to respect First Nations’ Knowledges and information, and to further reconciliation.
