Green Mentor

Mentee-driven, Mentor-guided

About the Green Mentor program

The PLT Canada Green Mentor program connects young people (ages 18-30) with professionals in the forest and conservation sector. Through a flexible, three-month mentorship, mentees gain real-world insights, build meaningful relationships, and explore I the rewarding green career pathways. Plus, being a mentor is a rewarding experience that offers just as much value to you as it does to your mentee, including gaining fresh perspectives, enhancing communication and leadership skills, and connecting with a community of like-minded professionals.

Our approach is simple: mentees drive the experience; mentors guide the journey, creating a relationship that benefits both.

How the program works

  • 3-month mentorship match from September to November
  • 2-5 hours per month (virtual or in-person)
  • Goal-setting and guided conversations
  • Access to tools, training, and support from PLT Canada
  • Mentees are matched based on goals, interests, and experience to support strong, productive connections.

We are accepting mentee and mentor applications on a rolling basis until August 6, 2026, or until spots are filled. Apply now!
