Government of Canada connects over 3,700 students to green jobs

On July 18, 2018 Project Learning Tree Canada hosted a celebratory event in Thunder Bay to help announce the Green Jobs funding from the Government of Canada. The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, highlighted funding of over $26 million through the Green Jobs in Green Spacesprogram, helping create 3,725 green student job opportunities across Canada – of which PLT Canada is supporting over 1,700 jobs across Canada.

The event was joined by the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Canadian Parks and Recreation Association, Canadian Parks Council, and the United Nations Association of Canada – who all announced their support and participation in the Green Jobs in Green Spaces initiative. PLT Canada announces renewed green jobs funding to support youth across Canada
