April 30, 2024, 10:30 am – 11:30 am PT / 1:30 p.m. – 2:30p.m. ET

How are you welcoming young employees into your organization?

PLT Canada hosted a Fostering Success for Green Jobs Youth in a Welcoming Workplace webinar on April 30, 2024 from 10:30–11:30 am PT / 1:30–2:30 pm ET to share how you can better onboard and support young adults.

As we welcome young adults from diverse communities in the forest and conservation sector, it’s important that we create a welcoming environment and ensure they feel supported. This hour-long virtual training will support green jobs supervisors in creating a welcoming work environment through some best management practices.

Learning outcomes

  • Recognize the needs of new and diverse employees starting work in an organization.
  • Respond to employee needs by engaging in best practices of onboarding prior to and within the first days on the job.
  • Identify measures to make workplaces welcoming and safe for new employees.
  • Develop actions to foster employee belonging and engagement.
