This program uses the specialist moth, Hypena opulenta (Hypena), which feeds exclusively on DSV. Hypena is one tool in an integrated weed management program,. The goal of this treatment is to reduce DSV vigour, biomass, spread, and seed set. This is a long-term approach to DSV management as it will take years for the population to build enough to see results.
