We are a design-led collective that seeks to create spaces, experiences and stories that support individual and community wellbeing, healing, and understanding in the Old Massett Community on Haida Gwaii.
We do so primarily through our strengths in Integrated Design (including architecture and landscape archi.), Arts, and New Media.
In that process, we are committed to engagement, co-design, and co-creation with local communities in Old Massett. Our programmes bridge individual and communal wellbeing, while our designs enhance, and not replace, inherent natural, physical and cultural assets of the place.

Evans Lake has been operating as a camp and outdoor education facility since 1960. The Centre is located 15 kilometres North of Squamish, BC on a picturesque mountain lake. Surrounded by forest, the Centre offers a feeling of wilderness seclusion while featuring all your basic amenities, accommodations and full catering.
Each year Evans Lake offers a full summer camp program with sessions for campers aged 8-12 years, 10-14 years, 13-16 years, as well as Leadership Training Camps and wilderness based Outdoor Adventure Kamps (OAK). Registration begins each year in January. We also offer a 4 day Winter Camp program for kids aged 8-16, in December each year.
The Centre is also open year-round and available for school field trips, family events, weddings, corporate retreats and private bookings. Rentals over 41 people offer exclusive use of the facility including full catering, use of all activity equipment and accommodations for 140.
We believe Outdoor Education is an experience every child should have. By taking the classroom to the great outdoors kids have an opportunity to get their hands dirty, learn in an interactive and fun environment, and develop personally.
Evans Lake is operated by the Evans Lake Forest Education Society, a not for profit charity, with the mandate to provide outdoor & forest education opportunities for children and youth. Each year we rely on our donors and members, as well as corporate and government funding to support our programs.
We acknowledge that Evans Lake is located at Ch’iyakmesh on the unceded territory of Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish First Nation).

Evermeadow is a new regenerative, pasture-based farm in the rolling hills of Northumberland County.
Our mission is to operate an ecologically regenerative farm that:
-Provides nutritious, ethical, and ecologically sane food for our local community;
-Increases the biodiversity and productivity of the land we manage;
-Fosters land-based lifeways as alternatives to extractive and unsustainable production and consumption patterns.
We work with animals that contribute to our ecological vision by exercising their innate instincts, while also providing ethical and nutritious food for our community. Our hens scratch up compacted soil and spread seed and fertile manure; our sheep manage the grass, distribute nutrients, and build soil; our pigs recycle waste nutrients and disturb the soil to prepare for re-seeding pastures and tree lanes; and our broiler chickens bring fertility into the farm as they move daily across the landscape.
Our long term vision is to restore the biodiverse and productive woodland/savannah landscapes that once characterized this part of central Northumberland County. We believe economically viable agriculture is not only compatible with but also essential to ecological restoration, and we aim to prove it.

FED's mandate is to advance urban agriculture and food security in the Capital Regional District (CRD). We work to connect land owners and urban farmers, help those in need grow food, and run urban agriculture learning spaces. In addition, we run My FED Farm, delivering food growing kits to vulnerable populations and installing community gardens in public health, First Nations communities, homeless shelters and other centres. This year FED has built a greenhouse where we will be growing a variety of food starts and pollinator species using local soil, recycled containers, and saved seed.
