Description des fonctions

This role is a leadership role; the job responsibilities are:
1. To conduct research on road ecology/mitigation needs, impacts to wildlife, hotspots for wildlife mortality, and best practices for mitigation.
2. To design data collection protocols and research scopes to assess effectiveness of road mitigation techniques of: ecopassages, road patrols, alternative nesting mounds
3. To supervise staff in the collection of data
4. To analyze data, including using statistical analyses
5. To report results both through scientific papers, and public media posts and articles in newsletters
6. To present at conferences and forums
7. To identify gaps, needs and next steps for program expansion and increased impacts/effectiveness

Conditions d’emploi

• Des déplacements peuvent être exigés.
• Work on weekends may be required.
• Working in outdoors in various weather conditions may be required.
• Willing to work in remote locations.

Qualifications

• Expérience minimum : 1-2 ans
• Niveau d'éducation minimum : Baccalauréat
• Certifications :
  • Permis de conduire valide
  • Formation de base en premiers soins et RCR
• Langue : Anglais
