TreeCycle Canada (TREECYCLE ENVIRONMENTAL INC) is an Urban Wood-Fibre Remanufacturing & Recycling company that helps businesses and homeowners manage the ever growing issues of Urban Tree Wood Waste through “TreeCycling”.

We are the 100 mile diet for locally sourced wood products by providing a more environmentally sustainable and carbon negative solution to Urban Tree Wood Waste management, and remanufacturing the wood waste into Value-Added Wood Products for the DIY carpentry, construction, landscaping, prefabricated home/building, and residential/commercial building sectors.

We are proud of our commitments to environmental solutions, furthering the development and awareness of circular economies, and disrupting domestic and international supply chains of wood waste by recycling it from traditional waste streams; providing a better solution for locally and sustainably sourced wood products.

Histoire de l'entreprise

TreeCycle Canada is founded and wholly owned by Ben Patton, a small business owner/operator of Two Lions Tree & Landscape and Forestry Technician studying in BCIT’s Applied Biology Program; with 8 years experience as an Arborist, Landscaper, Wildlands Firefighter, and Woodworker.

The idea for “TreeCycle” was born while woodworking in the heart of North Vancouver’s old growth forests. Having seen first hand the amount of wood waste generated by tree removals, Ben started collecting the wood in his own car, and began recycling it for his woodworking side business.

Predominately benefitting himself as a woodworker, his log recovery efforts grew until he felt ready to develop his own business model surrounding the process of “TreeCycling” through countless discussions, primary market research, informal and formal meetings, collaborative projects with local arborists, and creating a network of service providers that routinely disregard the wood coming from their tree removal jobs.

Données sur l'entreprise

TreeCycle is a recently established small business startup, Canadian controlled private corporation founded and incorporated in British Columbia in Spring 2022, wholly owned by Ben Patton, and is operating out of North Vancouver, BC. Having both a minimum viable product and service with a growing operational capacity, we have prototyped our services and products during our Pilot Program while market testing with the “TreeCycle” brand in Spring of 2022; while Soft Launching in early Summer 2022.

TreeCycle:

– has proof of product and market fit
– has established a repeat customer base
– is generating revenues in target market
– is scaling up the model to meet a larger operational capacity
– is anticipating hard launch by year end of 2022.

We are a company of one full time employee (founder), one part time administrative employee, and a fluctuating handful of part time/on call employees. These are seasonal workers and students from varying levels of education, all being unable to commit to a full time schedule for suited job position – even with related attributes, education, and/or experience being suitable and applicable/transferrable to the industry.

To date: by “TreeCycling” dozens of trees, we have taken the equivalent of approximately 10-12 passenger vehicles off the road for a year (according to US EPA stats for average yearly emissions output), and continue to store more CO2 emissions every day in the wood products we produce.

Our goal is to take the equivalent of 10,000 cars off the road within 10 years by diverting wood waste from traditional solid waste streams: further reducing CO2 emissions released from wood waste . Help us do that by supporting TreeCycle!
